“My child has a low platelet count. What does this mean?”
My son has had a blood test recently and I saw that he had a low platelet count in his test results. This wasn't what we originally tested for, but it stood out to me. What could this low count mean?

Probably ITP and it takes time to recover, but if the platelet is very low, he may need to be treated with prednisone.
