My son swallowed a coin. Will it have an impact later?

My son is 1 and a half years old and he swallowed a coin, which was removed by the doctor. Will the coin leave traces in his body that could harm him later in any way?

1 Answer

Coins usually do not leak out toxins like a battery can. But the place where it was stuck can become narrowed later on. If there is vomiting or trouble swallowing, get help immediately.
