“My son has cylindrical vision. Are there any precautionary steps that I should take?”
My son is 7 years old and has been detected with cylindrical vision with a power of -2.5 for both their eyes. What are the precautions that I should take with respect to his eyesight so that the power doesn’t increase further?

Good afternoon . Tunnel vision is a condition that you can see straight ahead but not to either side. Stress and anger are associated with this condition. One thing you can do when you feel that you are going to have an episode of tubeless vision, you can think in thoughts that calm you . Another great option is to meditate, sit calm in your favorite place, not thinking in anything, close your eyes and relax. If that doesn’t work. Try to make an appointment with a neurologist, he can order a CT scan of the head to rule out another problem. In addition, go to an Ophthalmologist to check your eyes peripheral vision. I hope I help you. Wishing the best. Cándido L Otero,MD.
