Question about an aortic aneurysm repair with EVAR?

When an aortic aneurysm repair is carried using the EVAR (Stent Graft) procedure sometimes some arteries will become "blocked off" as a result of the Stent Graft carrying the flow of blood down through it to the legs - how will those "blocked off" arteries be supplied with blood?

It sounds like may be referring to one of the arteries supplying blood to the intestines, the IMA (inferior mesenteric artery). If so, there is typically no complications from 'blocking off' this artery. But occasionally due to certain risk factors such as prior surgery, patients are at risk of part of the intestines not having enough blood supply. That's why you need to be monitored carefully after surgery.
