Should I use a diuretic?

I have a quite a bit of swelling in my hands. Should I use a diuretic?

Probably not. You need to have some blood work done and see a doctor. Do you also have face swelling?
Depends on what the problem is. It could be a side effect of a med, excess use of salt in the diet or other medical reasons like Renal or Cardiac issues. Need to see a physician to find out the problem and get the remedy.
Rather than squeezing out your kidneys, better restrict fluids to urinate 3 times a day, one time before going to bed and one time after getting up and never at night. YOU DO NOT NEED TO DRINK 8 GLASSES OF WATER.
