I recommend an xray and mri to be done for definitive diagnosis.
Elevate, compression socks. Also might want to check your blood flow at your doctor's office.
Anti-inflammatories only treat the symptoms, not the underlying cause of plantar fasciitis. You should ask your doctor for another solution. Such as stretching or Physical therapy.
Ice and PT.
Some time swelling may take weeks to reduce down. You might need aggressive treatment with CAM walker and limited walking and a short period of time. If your swelling has not improved then you will need MRI of the foot for further evaluation and treatment.
The swelling may not be from an inflamed plantar fascia. You may need to consider endocrine, neurological or cardiovascular issues as well
Hello, if you have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis I recommend you see a foot and ankle specialist to treat your condition. Plantar fasciitis is a common condition that causes heel pain. I recommend conservative treatment for the first 6 months of treatment. Thank you for your question and good luck to you.
Hello,

It's very common to have swellings in your foot when you have planter faciaitis. If both feet at the same time, I think you need to see your primary physician for more tests.
Thanks.
The swelling in your feet may not be secondary to inflammation from the plantar fasciitis. Swelling can be coming from other medical issues such as diet, vein issues and heart issues. Recommend see her primary care physician for evaluation.

Swelling of the lower extremities can result not just from inflammation, but also due to fluid retention.Inflammation in fact is a form of fluid leaving the vascular system and entering into the interstitial tissue through capillary leakage due to reaction from injury whether acute or chronic. Swelling or peripheral edema can also result from excessive fluid resulting
from organ issues related to kidney, heart, liver; or local vascular issues frequently seen with venous insufficiency or lymphedema. If this swelling does not remit as anticipated with current medical management, I do believe it is important that further investigation occurs to determine why the swelling in your feet persists.
