Minimal
Usually none . But I if it contains epinephrine in order to last longer , an inadvertent injection into a small blood vessel could cause a fast heart rate , palpitations , and anxiety.
In therapeutic doses, usually no side effects if injection is not intravascular. Intravascular injections and large doses may lead to tingling sensation, seizures, and even cardiac arrest.
This website has a reasonable discussion of lidocaine.  The type and probability of a side effect or complication depends on the location and quantity of the drug that is injected.  Some of the side effects noted are usually caused by extreme anxiety at the time of, just before or after the injection causing a patient to faint (vasovagal reaction)!

Note: allergies to lidocaine are extremely rare.
