What can I do about chronic elbow pain?

I'm 35, and I always have pain in my elbow. This has been happening for a month and a half. Is this serious? What can I do about chronic elbow pain?

Without a true evaluation it’s hard to determine the cause. Generally pain that started up suddenly without any known cause of injury usually is a result of overuse and some issues with biomechanical function and can be addressed with physical therapy.
