Depends on level of anxiety and types of anxiety. SSRI commonly used
Antidepressants that work for anxiety such as escitalopram, sertraline, paroxetine, citalopram, etc
Hello,

Sorry to hear that you are suffering from debilitating anxiety requiring medical attention. As the state of Florida does not grant prescriptive privileges to psychologists, I am not allowed to venture an opinion on medicines. It is better for you to ask the question to the person who diagnosed you with anxiety. In case they are also not a prescribing Mental Health Provider, then ask them for a referral to a prescribing psychiatrist. You can also consult with your PCP. In the meant time, you may want to read "Anxiety and Phobia Workbook" by Edmund J. Bourne.
Take care and be safe.

Xanax is the most common. But if you want to try a more natural route, kava kava works well for anxiety. But you have to make it traditionally for it to work well. Just Google how to make traditional kava kava.
Benzodiazepines at the beginning and SSRI, then should be tapered from benzodiazepines bc they are addictive
