Chiropractor Questions Sports Injuries

When should I see a chiropractor for back pain?

I'm 35 years old, and I've had back pain for over one year after a sports injury. Do you think it's time for me to see a chiropractor?

I believe seeing a chiropractor is best in maintaining your overall health and mobility. Once you have pain there has been much dysfunction occurring. If you have been having back pain for over a year I would suspect there is a lot of compensation occurring, which usually means longer treatment time to resolve your condition.
Oh yes, way past due actually!!! Anytime there is an injury go to a chiropractor right away. Use ice not heat and go, you will be relieved and it will help in so many ways.

It is past time to be under a chiropractor's care. I suggest you call a chiropractor as soon as possible.

Thank you,

As soon as possible. if you think about it, would you go to a gynecologist for a toothache? Or would you to a podiatrist if your dog was throwing up? No, you would go to the dentist and veterinarian, respectively. So if you're experiencing any type of musculoskeletal pain, then give chiropractic a chance. You never know, it might be the best decision of your life. Depending on the competency of the chiropractor of your choosing.
Yes.
Yes, you should 100%! One year is a long time; if it would have resolved, it would’ve happened within a few weeks.
It was time before the injury, just after the injury, and yes, even now a Doctor of Chiropractic can help, but it will take longer to get the best results as you've wait so long that specific tissue changes have probably set in. Get to a local DC as soon as possible.

Yes, I would recommend looking for a Chiropractor who specializes in sports injuries, denoted CCSP, or DACBSP.
