I am a 28 year old male and I have chronic neck pain. Which antidepressants help with pain?

Each person responds for a medication in a different way. There is no "the medication"
Duloxetine or Cymbalta is one antidepressant that has been shown to be helpful in reducing pain in some individuals.
Cymbalta.

I have very limited experience in this area. I treated one patient with Cymbalta and he noted a significant reduction in his need for pain medication. I have not seen medical literature addressing this question in the last few years.
Cymbalta is one of the antidepressants that providers will use to treat pain and depression.
First, the cause of your pain has to be properly diagnosed by your physician. It is always better to treat the cause of pain rather than just the pain itself. If it is neuropathic pain, then your doctor can prescribe some SNRIs, such as venlafaxine (Effexor XR), duloxetine (Cymbalta), and desvenlafaxine (Pristiq). These are only a few examples of medications that MAY help relieve chronic pain. They should be used with caution as they have many side effects.
