Sorry to hear your teeth are breaking off. There are a number of reasons why teeth break: 1- tooth decay, 2- grinding or clenching, or 3- parafunctional habits, such as chewing on pen caps, bitting your nails, or crunching on ice. It’s always best to make a consultation appointment to see your dentist and find out exactly why this seems to be happening, and hopefully find a way to prevent it from happening in the future.
There are many reasons for brittle and breaking teeth. It could be that you have decay or that you have bruxism (tooth grinding). Bruxism could be a sign of Sleep Apnea.
