Allergy
It could be inherited, lack of sleep, constipation.
The dark circles are where the veins are close to the skin. Sometimes rubbing this can cause "allergic shiners". You could try over the counter zyrtec 2.5 ml daily.
I generally think of allergies when I hear this complaint. Sometimes it can just be a normal appearance
You should see your physician, this could be a sign of allergies.
Your daughter most likely has allergic shiners that that present as dark circles under her eyes. This is the result of chronic allergic rhinitis and eustachian tube dysfunction which may cause hearing loss. This may be easily treated after evaluation by your child's pediatrician, using Claritin and Singulair chewable tablets
Dark circles under the eye could be allergic shiners. Check her for other manifestations of allergies like congested throat, running nose, sneezing, and cough.
Most common cause is nasal congestion. Often secondary to allergies.
If she seems healthy and is fair complected, it may mean nothing. It can mean allergies, nasal congestion as from a cold, etc. If she seems unhealthy to you, she should have a check-up.
