New Developments Show a Promising Future for Ovarian Cancer Treatments

The clinical trial testing the new tablet based form of Lynparza studied 295 women who had undergone at least two rounds of platinum based chemotherapy with some success. Among the women given the drug, the time of progression for the cancer was 19.1 months. In comparison, women given a placebo had a progression time of 5.5 months. Lynparza is obviously an effective aid in the cancer treatment process, and thanks to the results of this new clinical trial it will now be easier for patients to take and maintain.
