Update: The Talcum Powder Ovarian Cancer Lawsuits
The jurors' argument
Plaintiffs argue that "Johnson & Johnson was negligent in its duty to warn consumers about using talcum powder on their genital area." Due to the extreme pain associated with ovarian cancer, debilitating side effects of treatment of the cancer, and reduced life expectancy, many jurors have already decided that it was a responsibility of the company to provide a warning. As a result, there have been multiple multimillion dollar verdicts for the women now suffering from ovarian cancer. Sadly, most of them would happily return the money if it meant they could live without ovarian cancer. No amount of money will be able to grant them that.
