Fibromyalgia has a lot of misconceptions attached to it. What do you wish people understood about fibromyalgia?
Lyrica does NOT work, so no, there is no cure and the treatments can barely be called treatment. Yes I can be fine one day and sick the next; heck, I can be fine in the beginning of the day and be in such pain later in the day that I can barely function. And IT IS NOT ALL IN OUR HEADS!!!!
Has any one told you that "you don't look sick?"
Pretty much everyone I know has said I don't look sick. It is infuriating! I guarantee you that if I wasn't sick I would live a MUCH fuller life, and I wouldn't have had to give up my dream job!!
Tell us, who is your biggest support system while coping with fibromyalgia?
My biggest support is my husband. I never thought someone could love me as much as he does but he shows me every day that he truly loves me unconditionally!!! Without him I probably would not still be walking this earth; I have wanted to take my life many many times!!
