Hello,

These are really the problems of modern medicine, there is no perfect answer, but there are some choices. If I were taking this patient, the pacemaker side is fine and I would make sure she is on an anticoagulant, lovenox or one of the oral medications that are available. This can be done, you should ask the provider about this option. There is also the choice of a central line in the jugular or subclavian vein, though I would still consider an anticoagulant in this situation.
I hope she gets through this with no further issues

Cotton stitches are still in use and they last a long time. They may not be permanent, but I think they last months to years, but that should not be a problem.

Hello,

Some things are not simple. If the pain feels the same as appendicitis, and/or if you are having fever or chills with this, you should go back to the emergency room for this. As with most questions I get here, I do not know the particulars of your case. I would suggest that your surgeon would best be able to answer your questions, you should call their office and ask this question of their nurse or talk to the surgeon. You can get the best information from them as they know your case.

I cannot evaluate your situation and readiness to work on this platform. Your surgeon can and you should see them and ask them about this. If you need more time off, they can arrange it. If not, your recovery will be faster the sooner you get back to normal activity.

Hello,

I am sorry you have had this experience, there are some things you can do to improve this situation. I cannot tell what is going on without seeing you as a patient. Because of the abdominal pain, you should see a gastroenterologist or at least your family doctor. Your local hospital should be able to get you an appointment with either of these people. From what you have said here, this will not resolve on its own. Please seek out someone to help you through this.

Your surgeon can give you a better idea of when since they have seen your hernia and I have not. Many hernias can wait a while before repair but not all. Your surgeon is best to make that decision.

Hello,

Most of these questions should have been asked of the doctor doing the operation. I have an idea of what you are talking about, but I am not sure. There are growths that produce a hormone that can cause ulcers that would require this operation and they can be in the liver, but without any more information, I cannot answer you for sure. Make a list of questions and take them with you to the hospital and ask the doctor when you see him/her before the operation.

I am glad your son made it through this situation. I do not know how long he was on the machine, but the tube in that area left a channel after it was removed. I would expect it to resolve in a few days. An X-ray will only show something if it has metal in it, a better test is an ultrasound. If this is still a problem in 5 or so days, ask for an ultrasound to look for the cause of this.
I hope this goes well for you both.
