Muscle testing is both a medical science and a medical art. For strict examination and diagnosis, it is a foundation for physical, kinesiological, and neurological examinations. For those interested in the progression and evolution of medicine, muscle testing has become an art that allows the examiner to dive deep into the undiscovered niches of medical awareness, allowing for direct communication with the body. Simply put, the art of muscle testing is used to ask the body the best approach to diagnosis and treatment. It has helped patients and clients release from their fears and transcend even the negative emotional nature of the consciousness itself. For the future, muscle testing will become a mainstay technique to determine the nature of any type of knowledge – whether it be past, present, or future. Muscle testing helps to open a gateway of knowledge to the infinite beyond. It helps during deep meditation sessions to determine the nature of reality. Though Muscle testing is a fairly new science, originating between 1912 and 1915 by Dr. Robert Lovett.  During this time, he developed manual muscle testing to help infants with polio. Later, in 1939, Kendall and Kendall, a married couple and both physical therapists, developed a muscular rating system that involved percentages 0-100%.

Manual muscle testing evolved throughout the middle and later part of the 20th century as a major aspect of a doctor’s neurologic test. In 1964, Dr. George Goodheart, a chiropractic physician, began to experiment with muscle testing.  He soon discovered that he could “apply” the muscle testing standards of the past 30 years to other medical systems that had already been in use, such as acupuncture, osteopathic organ manipulation, osteopathic lymph drainage, massage, and chiropractic/osteopathic spinal/extremity manipulation. Goodheart called this new diagnostic system, “Applied Kinesiology” (AK).

When using AK in a medical setting, a strong muscle was found to be connected to a positive response to treatment versus a weak muscle, which is usually meant to be a negative response to treatment. However, this muscular reaction can be switched depending upon what type of response is roused. In simpler terms, when you visit the doctor’s office and you’re asked to explain what’s going on in your body, it’s sometimes difficult to express what your organs, muscles, glands, etc. are feeling. It would be much easier if the doctor could consult with the muscles, allowing the body to speak for itself. This type of medicine was so successful that the originator, Dr. Goodheart, was invited to be the first chiropractor ever to work at the U.S. Olympic Medical Team in 1980 as a team physician.46 This position brought in worldwide fame for his medical art and for the chiropractic profession as a whole. The practice of Applied Kinesiology (AK) branched into many forms such as Clinical Kinesiology (CK), Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), Total Body Modification (TBM), Touch for Health (TFH), Contact Reflex Analysis (CRA), and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). All of these types of AK practices utilize either basic muscle testing standards or modified muscle testing in combination with other established medical systems.

When I learned of Dr. Goodheart’s applied kinesiological concepts, I realized that this approach was what I had been looking for my whole life! It provided me with an intimate view of the patient’s diseased system without having to know everything about a person’s history. However, the true cause of the person’s “diagnosis” may or may not be determined through history and simple examination alone. I have found that most of people’s problems lie within the psyche itself and are emotionally, mentally, or spiritually rooted. These issues are connected to the subconsciousness through belief systems. These belief systems can be picked up through the medium of intuition by use of as well showing all aspects of person’s past, present, future-selves.

Here are some points to know:

In self-testing, the practitioner is the only one who is in control of the mechanical aspect of the test. In this case, not only does the mechanical apparatus have to be sound, but the chemical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects need to be sound as well. If the practitioner is not mentally or emotionally sound, then he/she will be a biased tester, regardless of the form of MMT used. Spiritually, if an individual is out to harm or condemn through religious dogma or some other paradigm, the test can be swayed, as this test is meant to be strictly neurological in nature. Any deviation in intention from the practitioner can influence this test greatly.

When testing for a “yes” or “no” answer to a question that the practitioner has said either out loud or intentionally in the mind, a strong or weak muscle may be “yes” or “no” based upon how the test is calibrated. Different types of Applied Kinesiology use different ways of determining a positive test. Generally, this positive test may be the same as a “yes” answer, but not always, depending on how the question was asked.

As you can see, muscle testing is an often, subjective system and requires testing over and over to gain a statistically significant response. Some practitioners want to prove themselves and their healing ability through the muscle test. This type of practice will only end in failure. Constant testing with humility, surrender, and objectivity is necessary.

What is the important takeaway? You can control your reality through determining a yes and no answer. You can use this ability in every instance of your life. God, the Creator, or the Supernatural/Superintelligent creation force that "big banged" the universe, is search to create a pure connection with all intelligent life forces. As you begin to loosen the bonds of physical attachment to material desires such as food and temptation through meditative contemplation, the ability to test for accurate and precise answers with muscle testing become more accurate. This is because purification of the body, leads to purification of the mind and so on. As you purify, your mind finally begins to see what really matters. All the clutter is suddenly cleared away to reveal pure light! This the true ardor gained when we truly access the pearl of greatest price within.
