These 12 Women Never Had the Big 'O' - Can the Relationship Survive?

Emily experiences pain when her clitoris is touched

Some women face not only obstacles in achieving an orgasm, but also an inability to have sex due to a medical issue. Emily confessed such a problem: at 26, she had an active dating life, but she’d never had an orgasm; in fact, she experienced pain every time her clitoris was touched or with anything was inserted into her vagina. After a few visits to the doctor, she was told she had a penetration disorder that caused pain and muscle tensing in the pelvis, vulva, and vagina whenever penetration was attempted. This makes dating and having relationships incredibly difficult for Emily. Her condition requires her to be frank with her partners right from the start, and that conversation is very hard. She confessed, “[M]y ultimate fear with all of this ... is that no one will ever want to be with me.” However, she is now seeing a specialist whom she hopes will help her overcome her condition.
