Her overwhelming desire to give back to those around her.
Bairefoot also recalled a time around Thanksgiving when Becky met a homeless man. He had lost his home that he shared with his mother after she had passed away. Recognizing that the man had a disability and that he would qualify for assistance, Becky worked to get the man’s documents in order. She helped to secure him a spot in an assisted living facility and set him up to receive federal supplemental income. This is why it was no surprise to Bairefoot when she learned that her friend was helping the Maddox family just days after her own surgery. “I don’t know how she’s doing it. In all of this, she’s got the biggest smile on her face. She’s very faithful to God” said Bairefoot.
