A top tooth can make a bottom tooth hurt if...the top tooth has an abscess that is pushing it slightly out of the socket and putting more pressure on the bottom one.

You can feel pain while chewing and biting down, but it still will be your lower jaw tooth.The only time when the top tooth can hurt the bottom one is trauma or biting on something hard.
