Can an appendectomy be done under local anesthesia?

I am a 35 year old male. I want to know if an appendectomy can be done under local anesthesia?

Technically under spinal or epidural if it’s an open procedure, but almost all are done laparoscopically, which would be very uncomfortable under regional anesthesia.
Theoretically, yes, but practically I would not recommend it, as there will be enough pain, so you have to be really tough to tolerate that pain.
Appendectomy can be completed under spinal anesthesia if there is some compelling reason to do so, but this is not the standard of care.
