Can contacts cause headaches?

I wear contacts for nearsightedness. I have headaches when I wear them. Can contacts cause headaches?

If the contact lenses are comfortable then its unlikely that they are actually causing headaches, but if the power of the contact lenses is slightly off you may be using your eye focusing muscles more than needed and this might cause some eye stain- best to check with your contact lens doctor to assess. Headaches are often hard to dagnose.
Usually not but if they are wrongly corrected, yes. Check with your optometrist and repeat your refraction. If are over 40 years old you may require reading glasses too.
If they are the wrong rx or poorly fitted, then yes. Don’t sleep in contacts.
