Yes, in fact I treat "sciatica" every single day in practice. However, sciatica is actually a symptom. It is not a true diagnosis and is misused from medical providers daily. The underlying cause of this symptom is most commonly a displaced lumbar disc (herniation, bulge, protrusion). Material inside the disc migrates (displaces) out of it's normal interior position, created compression on an exiting lumbar nerve. The nerves of your lumbar spine control all function of your legs. This includes sensation (pain, numbness/tingling) and motor (strength, ability to walk, ability to use legs). My approach is accurately diagnosing which disc is the likely problem, then providing Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression therapy to resolve the problem.
