I need to know more about you.
Ringing in the ears is called tinnitus. Acupuncture can help to reduce the ringing in the ears if it is not caused by an inner ear mechanical issue.
In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) ear ringing can be due to several causes. One way to differentiate the severity is if the ringing is high-pitched or low-pitched. Usually, low pitch is related to gradual chronic tinnitus whereas the high pitch is more acute, sudden & more difficult to treat. The prognosis will depend on the severity of the condition, but even with my difficult-to-treat tinnitus patients have had some relief from the acupuncture treatments. Check with your primary to make sure alternative medicine would be a good option for you.
Yes.

Tinnitus is difficult to treat, so I would call the acupuncturists around you to see who has had success in treating it.
I am not sure about acupuncture helping but ringing in the ears or tinnitus can be from damage to the "hair cells" in the inner ear or could be an middle ear issue. I would go to an Audiologist for an evaluation and treatment.
If ear ringing for a long time, the effect is not very good.

Yes, we have very good points for that.
Also check kidney zone for the treatment
It depends on what is causing the tinnitus. Acupuncture can be effective in providing relief from tinnitus
Tinnitus (ringing in your ears) usually indicates a kidney deficiency. I suggest you look for an experienced acupuncture practitioner who uses imperial or king herbs for help to get relief.
Depending on what the underlining cause is.
Usually, ear ringing is a symptom of a water imbalance In the kidneys. Acupuncture can help rebalance this system.
Acupuncture can help lessen the intensity and frequency of tinnitus.

It depends on the cause of the ear ringing or Tinnitus. One cause is liver issues and yes it helps, Another cause is Kidney issues, and yes it can help. The next cause is ear nerve or structural damage. This may have several causes like long-term exposure to loud sounds, dental work, or some other conditions. In this latter case, it generally does not help unless the issue is caused by a combination of issues. Then acupuncture may help some but not eliminate the problem.
Ringing in the ears (tinnitus) is the acupuncture holy grail. I've worked with this issue, off and on, over the past several years for a variety of different patients. A few have made a little improvement after a lot of treatment. For most of them acupuncture had little to no effect.

I've spoken with colleagues and we all agree - tinnitus is extremely difficult to treat using acupuncture and Chinese medicine. If you decide to pursue treatment using acupuncture, you should be prepared for a long haul.
