There is some evidence that acupuncture can help with a variety of medical ailments, so long as you are getting it done by someone with experience who knows what they are doing. However, there may be an underlying cause for your chronic vomiting that you may want to have a GI specialist try to diagnose so that you can get the proper help and treatment.

It is important to find the cause of vomiting. It could be GERD and when you are in a laying position in your bed, the nausea and vomiting start. It could be gastritis. But it also could be something more serious. Diagnostic is step #1.

I am not aware of any well done randomized trials that show any benefit of acupuncture for vomiting.

First question: have you been to your primary care provider and/or a GI specialist and have they ruled out more serious issues for this condition?
If your answer is "no", then your PCP or a specialist should be your first stop. There are some serious conditions, that fall outside the scope of acupuncture treatment, which could be causing this issue. Get those ruled out first.
If you've been to your primary care and/or a specialist and they can't figure out what's going on, then, yes, acupuncture is usually effective in the treatment of nausea/vomiting.
