Abdominal Surgeon Questions Abdominal wall surgery

How can I prepare for abdominal wall surgery?

I'm going to have surgery on my abdominal wall next week. How invasive is abdominal wall surgery usually?

Take Vitamins and lose weight if obese.
There is no preparing for that. Who must prepare is the surgeon, doing a good pre-op and a good work plan. They must have already studied the kind of surgery you need. You must worry only about following the surgeon's post-op indications.
If laparoscopically done, less invasive, but it’s according to what’s being done.
Hi,

I saw your question and thought this info could be helpful:

It all depends on what you are having done. Open surgery is much more invasive than laparoscopic (minimally invasive surgery). If you are having a hernia fixed, some are small, and some are large. Unfortunately without more information, I cannot point you in a better direction.
