How do help my limb stiffness?

I’ve quit working this past year and have been feeling like I’m getting stiffer and my muscles ache a lot more. I’m sure it’s a lack of exercise or movement but was wondering if there’s something I could do about it. As I’m trying to become more active, they get really sore and painful so it really feels like there are no options here without pain.

Motion creates motion, water and anti-inflammatory medicines will help in the short term.

Well, your question is very vague and you have provided me with very little history. To be able to make a diagnosis, I would need to know a lot more information. Your past medical history, the type of work you were doing, exercise habits, meds, Any prior joint problems….etc. But there is one thing you must realize: the human body was made for one purpose: movement. The joints in the human body require significant movement in order to produce the joint lubricant so that they can function normally. Think about when you wake up in the morning or sit in a car on a long trip; when you start to get out of bed or out of the car, every joint seems stiff, and as you start moving the stiffness is replaced with normal motion as the joints are lubricated. Joints need regular and frequent motion.
