How many times can a crown be replaced?

I will have my crown replaced for the second time. How many times can a crown be replaced?

On a tooth that has undergone root canal therapy, practically an unlimited number of times, provided the crown is seated on sound tooth structure. A vital tooth should have care taken to limit the number of times that the bur from a dental hand piece touches the tooth. In other words, the vibration from the hand piece, although necessary, is traumatic to the pulp,
or nerve of the tooth. Every person, and every tooth, is different; however, the less that can be done, as far as procedures on a vital tooth, the better.

No limit so long as enough tooth is present.
It can probably be replaced as many times as you choose to provided there is enough good, healthy tooth structure, but at a certain point you may want to consider an implant considering the cost of crowns.
