Can be very painful. Make sure not iron deficient, B12 deficient, zinc deficient or vitamin d deficient prior to Surgery. Consult Functional Medicine prior to Surgery.
I usually prescribe my patients 5 days of pain medication, and they usually do not have to take all of it. With a minimally invasive repair, many patients can return to work within 3-5 days if they have a desk job or 2-3 weeks if they have a job that requires manual labor.
