Family Practitioner Questions Happiness

Why do I feel more happy in the afternoon?

When I wake up in the afternoon after a nap, I end up feeling happier than i do at other points in the day. What could be the reason for this?

It is individualized, there is no explanation.
You are less stressed after the nap. You can have issues going on that you are not quite aware! A nap helps us recharge and take off a little bit of stress that we can carry
You may have hypoventilated causing cerebral vasoconstriction resulting in less “low grade” headache and thus feeling happier
Short naps in the afternoon are sorely needed in our backwards culture. Good for you!
Actually, not sure, other than the rest has done you well. Settled your system, rather than revving it up. Compare this link site's perspective on moods during the day - might find it interesting:

Sometimes a nap is more refreshing than night sleep.
