Hand Surgeon Questions Hand Injuries and Disorders

Every day morning I wake up with cold and stiff hands. Why does this happen?

Everyday in the morning my hands seem stiff, pale and very cold. They are also mildly painful. However this condition settles down in about an hour of waking up. What could be the reason for this?

It is important to always seek a medical evaluation by a licensed professional to ensure it is not the manifestation of something more serious. You also want to seek help sooner rather than later to prevent any further damage to the area.
There are a number of potential reasons for your symptoms, but two of the more likely would be carpal tunnel syndrome or possibly arthritis. I would recommend you see a physician who should be able to properly diagnose you and recommend treatment.

This could be early osteoarthritis. If you are able to, try ibuprofen before bed to see if that helps the morning symptoms.
