If your gums swell all over than that might be an allergic reaction. If the swelling is around the tooth you had your crown fitted then it might be excess cement or the crown is too long. Your dentist can adjust and remove excess cement and check the occlusion (bite) of the crown. Otherwise the swelling should have gone away by now. If not, check with your dentist. DENTIST
It can be normal due to plaque buildup around te He crown margins.
It can be. The dentist or dental assistant may have used retraction cord to push the gums away from the tooth. This can cause gingival trauma. Otherwise the gums may be sore due to excess cement around the crown or invasion of the biological width of the tooth. You'll want to follow-up with your dentist if the swelling and pain persists for longer than a couple of days.
Gum swelling after crown or bridge fixing is a common side effect of the procedure.
Hello, Mild gum irritation may occur after a crown is cemented.  The irritation may last for a few days and if it happens it would be mild.  Persistent gum swelling should be evaluated, it is possible that you have a residual piece of cement around the crown under the gum. The cement can be very easily removed by your Dentist.  It is also possible that you have a periodontal issue associated with the tooth or that the nerve in the tooth is dying and causing an abscess.  I strongly recommend that you contact your  Dentist  as soon as possible for further evaluation.
It is normal to have some swelling. When prepping the tooth for a crown, the gum has to be pushed away, this can cause a bit of redness and/or swelling. Brush, floss and rinse, this will help the area heal faster.
