“Is it ok to take Tums while taking Eliquis twice daily?”

Question: did your heart burn or stomach discomfort start when you started with Eliquis? If so, then see your doctor. If not what is causing your stomach irritation, then consider discontinuing use of the irritant. Tums can be taken for minor relief, but are not a cure. Or, consider seeing your doctor.

Tums is an over-the-counter adolescent drug which Is the amount of acid in your stomach. Eliquis is anti thrombosis drug that works by inhibiting factor Xa in the coagulation system. This increases coagulation time, thereby “thinning” the blood. Meanwhile, it is important to know why you are taking an anticoagulation medicine. There must be something that you are not telling me that conditions you're taking of this medicine. Furthermore, you can rest assured that Tums and Eliquis do not interact, nor one inhibit or enhance the other.
