I was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia. I don't want to have surgery. Is there a way to treat a hernia without surgery?

The hernia will never go away without surgery and will likely get larger and more symptomatic over time. That being said, if there are no symptoms related to your hernia, there is no urgency to proceed with surgery. We know the risk of complications is relatively low when not operating.
