Nipple turning in after breast reduction?

I am a 27 year old woman who just got breast reduction surgery. One of my nipples is starting to turn inward. Is this normal?

Nipples turning inward is called nipple retraction and can be normal after surgery, but it still should be investigated. In some cases, nipple retraction can be because there is a growth behind the nipple which pulls on the nipple to go inward. You should make an appointment with your doctor to discuss. He/she should perform a breast exam and possibly refer you for an ultrasound of your breast.
