Vaccine issue?

I just had my second in the series of shingles vaccine this past Monday, however, I have a covid vaccine scheduled for this coming Tuesday. The CDC recommends 14 days between vaccines. Can I still get it if I have no side effects but a sore arm that lasted only two days?

Thanks for the question. The issue is not whether the second vaccine will work, but if you have side effects, which vaccine caused them. It is best to wait the 14 days. You don't want to be denied your second dose of the Covid vaccine because of side effects from the Shingrix.

Good day,

Thanks for your question. In my opinion, there is no conflict between these two vaccines. However, having in mind that any vaccination may induce some side effects, the recommendation is still valid, in order to protect the recipients of vaccines for such situation. My advice, if it's possible, is to reschedule your shingles shot.
Warm regards and stay safe,
