Stomal ulcers, bleeding or perforation from the same, internal herniations, malabsorptions of vitamins etc
Weight loss is obviously the intended effect of surgery. Your eating habits will change permanently. You will only be able to eat small amounts at a time. Foods high in fat or carbohydrates can lead to dumping syndrome or diarrhea. Risks of surgery long term include ulcers and bowel obstructions.
Please discuss with Bariatric Surgeon.
There are many. This is best answered by a surgeon but some long term issues include vitamin and micronutrient deficiencies, unsustained weight loss, ulcers and bleeding from of the gastric pouch, dumping syndrome, heartburn, etc.
