What kind of anesthesia is used for colon biopsy?

I will have a colon biopsy. What kind of anesthesia is used for colon biopsy?

They will put you to sleep by giving you sedation. You will be put under deep sedation to general anesthesia. Immediately after the procedure they will take you to the recovery room until you are completely awake. Make sure you have someone will drive you back home. Thank you.

Not sure what you mean exactly but most colon biopsies are done during a colonoscopy, in which case intravenous deep sedation is used.

If you are getting a biopsy by surgical means then general anesthesia would be used.
General if going inside the abdomen. If colonoscopy then conscious sedation.
