Eat soft foods until the area is starting to feel better. Good luck implants are great! Dr Kristi
If the implant is properly integrated in the bone and the restoration correctly fitted you should in theory be able to eat whatever you would typically would eat. The exception would be metal frameworks with acrylic bases and denture teeth supported by implants. These sort of restorations tend to flex more than porcelain fused to metal and therefore may fracture more often when fixed to implants under heavy stress. Porcelain fused to metal over implants may also fracture if the design does not give enough support to the porcelain as the glass can not flex.

I would recommend a high calorie soft diet for the first week post surgery. It really matters what the implants are being utilized for. There is really no restriction for a single tooth implant placement.
