Why am I itching?

I started a more vigorous aerobic workout a few days ago. I've been doing it for 30 mins a day, prior to this I wasn't as active other than walking a couple of times a week. I have been constantly itchy all over my body all day afterward, the itching has made it even difficult to sleep at night. I have no redness or rash, my skin looks normal just irritating itchiness. I tried Benadryl last night at bedtime it didn't take the itch completely away but helped me fall asleep. What would cause this? Is it permanent? How can I relieve it?

This could be exercise-induced urticaria. You should see a local allergist immunologist.
With the increase in itching with exercise, this is what's called "cholinergic urticaria". I would treat with Zyrtec or Xyzal 1-2 tablets at bedtime. Often, this rash will disappear within several months.
