Can you manage diabetes 2 without medication?

I am a 45 year old male and I have type 2 diabetes. I am worried I won't be able to get my medication with Covid-19.

Depends on the severity of your diabetes and the meds you are currently on. I always encourage a strict ADA diet. Go to the American Diabetes Association's web site for some dietary ideas.
It depends on how severe the diabetes is. If it is mild then it can be managed with strict diet and exercise
I would still recommend trying to get a refill on your medications. There are a wide variety of telemedicine services that can continue to fill your current prescriptions in most cases. Especially if you’re insulin dependent. Then it would be a high priority to refill.
Hello,

Type 2 diabetes management is needed to be individualized to each patient. Some people with type 2 diabetes can manage with just sticking to the right diet, getting regular exercise, and maintaining a healthy weight. Others require pills and non-insulin injections, and there are also patients with type 2 diabetes that require insulin. Each patient with type 2 diabetes is unique. At our practice, we customize our management to the individual, considering their lifestyle, desired outcomes, and medical history. We work together to find a system that works, and keep updating our plan until we find the right approach.
I am sorry about your troubles, hope you stay safe and have access to all your medications. The answer to your question is not simple yes or no. Some people with early and mild diabetes type 2 can have it managed without medications, by strict diet, weight loss and exercise. Regarding your personal situation, I need to know at lease what medications are you taking for diabetes and doses, how many years to you have diabetes for, what are your daily blood sugars you monitor and what is your last HbA1C level.
Be safe.

Some people can. It depends on how many beta cells that produce insulin are left and how much insulin resistance there is (related to the degree of obesity). I wouldn't fear being able to get your meds during COVID 19 since pharmacies are considered vital & will stay open. Most also will deliver so you won't need to go out. Exercise & follow your diet just as always & you should do OK
