Pediatrician Questions Flu Shot

When is the earliest time per year a child should get their flu shot?

I know most people get them in the summer and early fall, but is there ever a time that's too early? Or what's the best time?

Flu shots usually expire in July. The new flu shots become available in September or October.
Late summer is best time for flu shots
12 months of alge
I suggest September
At age 6 months and a booster 28 days later.
In our area it usually first available in October. You need 3 weeks after the shot before flu season starts for immunity to be protective. If they are getting them in the summer this may be last seasons shots and not as protective for the upcoming season.
