OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions Uterine biopsy

Does a uterine biopsy affect my menstrual cycle?

My partner and I have been having trouble conceiving. My doctor recommended a uterine biopsy to help diagnose the problem. Does a uterine biopsy affect my menstrual cycle?

The biopsy is to get tissue to send to the lab to see if there is a hormonal imbalance. It does not affect your cycle.
I take it that the biopsy from endometrium would be a slice from the uterus. This should not affect the menstrual cycle.
Not at all, your cycle will be unchanged as your ovarian hormones are unaffected by the biopsy. You will spot a little for a few days after the biopsy and will need a pad or tampon.
