High heart rate after MRI. Is this normal?

After my MRI, I was experiencing a higher heart rate than normal. Luckily, this was in the hospital so they noticed it right away. But, I'm just wondering, is it normal to experience a high heart rate after an MRI?

It's probably just your body getting a vaso vagal reaction, similar to seeing something unusual. There is no physical reason for that, only psychological.
I am not sure it was related! it could be coincidence of you might have been anxious enough that you raised your heart rate unconsciously or because of increase of your sympathetic tone (high adrenaline levels) which at times can unmask undiagnosed abnormal rhythms.
Usually no, unless you are dehydrated because you have not had anything to eat for the procedure
