Neuropathy can be caused by many conditions and improvement depends on the underlying cause. This should be evaluated with your primary doctor or neurologist.
If you have an acquired mononeuropathy, such as from diabetes or alcohol, and the offending agent is controlled or removed, healing of peripheral sensory nerves occurs about 1mm per day. Hereditary neuropathies cannot be reversed, but entrapment neuropathies, like carpal tunnel syndrome, can be partially reversed.
It depends on the cause of neuropathy. If it is due to vitamin B12 deficiency, or entrapment neuropathy, it will go away after treatment. If symptoms, persist, you should see a neurologist.
