How long is the recovery for a rhinoplasty?

I am a 36 year old female who wants the hump removed from my nose. How long is the recovery for a rhinoplasty?

After a rhinoplasty, there is a cast which generally stays for one week. The lower eyelids may get black and blue and swollen, and this may take one to two weeks to resolve depending on age. Patients are generally cautioned to avoid heavy lifting and contact sports for a period of 3 to 4 weeks. Generally, by four weeks, patients can do most anything, but should wear sunscreen on the nose if they are going to have intense exposure. Most changes to the nose particular removal of the dorsal hump are obvious very early and usually can be seen within the first couple of weeks. A small amount of residual swelling in the tip can take anywhere from 1 to 2 years to fully resolve depending on the thickness of the skin. The nose will still look better than it did before surgery but may not look its final best until six months to one year post-op and longer in thick skin tips.
Typically, cosmetic rhinoplasty recovery lasts 1 to 3 weeks. There will be bruising initially with swelling and after your bump removal, if the nasal bone needs to be in fractured, you cannot wear eye glasses for three weeks. Most people return to work in one week, however.
Good luck.

It's about 2 to 4 weeks of rest but the nose does not fully heal for about 6 months.
A rhinoplasty essentially heals like a broken nose and initial healing takes about three weeks. However, swelling may persist for many months and so the final result may not be evident for as long as a year or more.

You could probably return to work in a few days total recovery is about 6mos to a year as far as swelling
Hump removal from the nose may have minimal to 1 or 2 week recovery depending on how much has to be done.
