It depends on the surgeon but most would be operating 1-4 days a week. Sometimes in the operating room for open surgery, soemtimes in angio suite for endovascular/angiographic procedures.
It depends on their area of interest - peripheral or central (cardiovascular). Both are busy and at most facilities they have dedicated OR days 1-2 a week.
As with any medical practice, a vascular surgeon can choose to be as busy as he or she chooses. Many vascular surgeons also offer endo vascular treatment, a less invasive approach, in addition to traditIona open surgical techniques.
Vascular surgeons operate regularly. Operating lists usually run daily with a combination of emergency and elective cases.
Daily.
