How often should I have a mammogram?

I'm 35, and I realized that I should probably start getting my mammograms soon. Especially since I have a family history of breast cancer. How often should I get a mammogram done?

I would recommend annual mammograms starting at age 40. Some patients will begin earlier depending on family history. I would discuss this with your physician
The ACR recommends annual mammography screening starting at age 40 for women of average risk of developing breast cancer.
