What is the best spot in the body for insulin injections?

What is the best place in the body to inject my insulin so it can be the most effective?

The abdomen is the best spot because the absorption of insulin is more consistent. It can vary more in arms and legs.

There is not a best stop per se. Many people use their lower abdomen. However, arms and legs are okay.
The sites can vary in effectiveness of absorption and need to rotate. Use places where you can reach with subcutaneous fat that can be reached with a small needle when you gently pinch the skin and see the fat. Use abdominal all over except umbillicus and as wide as you can reach it inner aspect of thigh. If you keep hitting the same site, you may not get uniform absorption.
The eyeball, just kidding. Theoretically the abdominal area has the most regular absortion. There is a thought that the thigh and the arms absorb faster however I have many patients who use these areas without problems.
Insulin, especially the newer analog insulin can be injected anywhere & get about the same results. Probably the best place is the abdomen. There is a lot of space there so we are not giving in the same place all the time. In studies absorption was best in the abdomen, arms were nearly as good and legs were acceptable but not as good as the other places. I have diabetes (for 26 years) & I prefer the abdomen. All the best.
